CMCA is Chinese Music and Culture Association, a registered 501(c)3 non profit organization.
Our mission is to build a platform for community, artistic expression, and cultural enrichment through a cappella music. No individual benefits personally—our work is driven purely by a shared passion for music and a desire to uplift our community through the joy of singing.
About our programs
Find A Cappella is a semi-professional a cappella singing group, and is also the first project of CMCA.
We are a group of vocal singers, music lovers, and young professionals based in the Bay Area. We held our first concert on Oct 15, 2022, a few days past our first anniversary. We hosted 200 people and sang 14 songs throughout the concert. We had our second concert on Nov 18, 2023 with another 15 songs and over 400 audiences. We found in music not only friendship, excitement, emotional support, but also most importantly, each other. We work on pop songs and musicals, and we also love jazz, folk, and church songs. We hope to deliver our good vibes to our audience and the community. We are Find A Cappella.
Sudo Chorus is formed by passionate amateur and semi-professional singers, the group rehearses weekly and performs multiple times a year. Our mission is to bring people together through music, especially within the Chinese community in the San Francisco Bay Area. We sing a wide range of repertoire—from pop and musical theater to classical and folk—and strive to make choral music accessible, expressive, and fun.
Our most recent major performance was the 2025 New Year's Concert: Echoes of the World, taken place on January 18-19, 2025, celebrating the power of global harmony and cultural expression through choral music.
Mandarin A Cappella Workshop is a welcoming, drop-in style program designed for anyone interested in singing Mandarin-language a cappella music, regardless of experience level. Hosted monthly, this workshop brings together people who love vocal harmony and Chinese music in a relaxed, community-driven setting.
Each session features original arrangements created by our own members, covering a variety of genres including Mandarin pop, folk, and contemporary music—all performed without instruments. Participants learn vocal techniques, group blend, and a cappella fundamentals while enjoying the process of singing together.
Open to the public, the workshop offers a fun and supportive space to sing, connect, and celebrate culture through music.
